Chamber Dance Supports Earthquake Appeal

This event was open to all and was organised by the local Chamber of Commerce as a fund raiser for the Dorchester Town Promotion Fund and the Pakistan Earthquake Disaster Appeal.

Apart from contributing to the funding of the Town Crier the Town Promotion Fund is being used to actively promote the attractions and businesses in the town so support for it was a way of contributing to the success of this plan whilst enjoying a fun evening.

The evening kicked off with a disco, followed by an "open microphone" talent show. Support for this suggested that it should be a regular part of future events. The raffle and Auction of Promises that followed was superbly supported by local businesses which provided an array of promises and prizes. Finally it was time to hit the dance floor as local band Howling at the Moon took us through a lively and energetic set!
