"After reading this small book written by our town crier, Alistair Chisholm, I found this most helpful because my wife and I are new to the area and it has helped us find our way round this lovely town and its surrounding walks.
I would recommend any one moving to the area to buy this booklet."
Mr & Mrs J. Wicks
This book is pocket-sized by design but packed with information and contains a helpful town map as well as individual maps for each walk plus plenty of full colour photographs to whet the appetite.
The end papers show eight painted scenes depicting Dorchester's past by John Hodgson. These were the preparatory work for the clay wall panels outside the town's Waitrose store and are being seen by the public in this book for the first time.
All in all this is a book that every visitor and town resident should have and at only £4.99 neither the size nor price will stretch the pocket!
