Historic Dorchester came to a halt at midday on Friday 20th May as a cavalcade of characters in costume stretching back millions of years paraded in the High Street to launch the Dorchester Chamber of Commerce's Town Promotion campaign.
Among those present was Norrie Woodall who acted in the Thomas Hardy players in the 1920s and met Dorchester's most famous son, Thomas Hardy, a dinosaur from the Dinosaur Museum and a cast of characters representing different eras in town's rich history.
